Universal quarantine, if it lasts too long, will not only destroy the world economy but will bring famine and devastation, the scale of which the world has not yet seen. Hungry riots will not deter either the security forces or the army. Distraught by fear and hunger, vast masses of people will destroy everything that humanity has created for centuries. Such apocalyptic assumptions are worse than the pandemic itself with its many victims.
