A television show shaming the president was discussed by the entire country, under oath claiming that there was no sexual contact with an intern at the White House. Lewinsky's famous "dress," with traces of the president's sperm, forced Congress to attempt impeachment proceedings for perjury and contempt of court. The scandal, called “Monicagate,” was discussed in almost all media outlets. Accused of lying, Bill Clinton made a statement on national television, acknowledging his relationship with Monica Lewinsky, describing them as "inappropriate."
