A television show shaming the president was discussed by the entire country, under oath claiming that there was no sexual contact with an intern at the White House. Lewinsky's famous "dress," with traces of the president's sperm, forced Congress to attempt impeachment proceedings for perjury and contempt of court. The scandal, called “Monicagate,” was discussed in almost all media outlets. The U.S. House of Representatives acquitted Bill Clinton on all counts of impeachment, leaving the latter as President of the United States. Accused of lying, Bill Clinton made a statement on national television, acknowledging his relationship with Monica Lewinsky, describing them as "inappropriate." In addition to the Monica Lewinsky scandal, several other women have reported inappropriate behavior by Bill Clinton at the time of his governorship of Arkansas.
